JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The law firm of Terrell Hogan is filing hundreds of lawsuits against local plastic surgeon, Dr. Loren Clayman. "I represent about 150 women," said Attorney Chris Shakib. Shakib, the lead attorney in the case, called his findings unbelievable. For the past two years he has built his case against the doctor.

The family of Heather Meadows, a West Virginia woman who died of complications of plastic surgery in May, has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against a Hialeah-based plastic surgery center and its affiliates. "We want justice for Heather, her babies and her family," said Suzanna Wilson, who has been Heather's friend for 17 years.

A network of cosmetic surgery clinics linked to a series of patient deaths and injuries will refund customer deposits under an agreement with the Florida Attorney General's Office. The owners plan to close the clinics - Vanity Cosmetic Surgery in Miami, and Encore Plastic Surgery in Hialeah, among others - and reopen them under a different name, state records show.

A Florida administrative law judge has concluded that Dr. Osak Omulepu committed medical malpractice for what went wrong in 2015 while he performed Brazilian Butt Lifts on two women in Miami. The recommended order comes more than two months after a medical malpractice hearing on complaints from four women who say they were injured during plastic surgery procedures performed by Omulepu in spring 2015.
